This is an unofficial application for tracking Utah Transit Authority (UTA) vehicles and stops, allowing riders to benefit from UTA vehicle monitoring and stop finding services. Transit Tracker - Utah provides the functionality to download route schedules and set alerts for UTA routes and stops. Users receive notifications when a vehicle on a specific route is approaching or arriving at a designated stop.

The tracking feature of Transit Tracker - Utah offers real-time location updates for UTA buses and trains, reporting their locations every 15 seconds (Flex routes excluded). Users can track TRAX and FrontRunner route numbers such as the Blue line (701), Red line (703), Green line (704), and FrontRunner (750). The app enables users to search for all vehicles on a specific route, buses serving a particular stop, or an individual vehicle by entering its number.

Route schedules for any UTA route can be requested within Transit Tracker - Utah, showcasing schedules as origin/destination tables or on a map. By tapping on a stop within the map feature, users can view when the next bus/train is scheduled to arrive. Nearby UTA stops can be located by selecting the current location, an entered address, or picking a location on the map as a search basis.

Alerts can be customized to notify users when a UTA vehicle is approaching or arriving at a selected stop based on distance from the stop using UTA's defined route shape. It's important to note that alerts may not trigger as expected if the vehicle deviates from the specified route.

Additional features of Transit Tracker - Utah include the option to choose between light and dark themes, display satellite imagery and color-coded traffic data on the map, prevent screen dimming, adjust the update interval for UTA vehicle locations, and personalize alert ringtones.
